Beware of fragrances or scents you wear during the hot season. A great scent does not necessarily mean a scent for all seasons. The heat can turn your great fragrance into a scent people will try to avoid when you come close to them. I met several people wearing scents they shouldn’t have worn in a hot season because the heat turned the scents into a weird and unpleasant odor.

Summer perfumes should be light and airy to avoid feeling overwhelming in the heat. Look for citrus (lemon, bergamot), aquatic/marine (salty air), green tea, or solar/beachy (coconut, white florals) scent profiles. Additionally, opt for Eau de Toilette (EDT) or Eau Fraîche, which have lower oil concentrations and a fresher, breezier finish.

If you want your fragrance or scent to be pleasing and welcome in summer or hot weather, try something Light and Clean: wood sage, sea salt cologne – aromatic scent of ambrette seeds, sage, and sea spray. Classic Citrus: A South Italian summer staple featuring Sicilian cedar, apple, and bluebell. Tropical and Solar: A creamy, luxurious citrus and floral blend. Fruity and Sweet: A lively burst of fruit and white musk that wears exceptionally well in warm weather.

Enjoy your hot days with a scent favorable to the heat.
